BUENOS AIRES AVENUE HOUSE
Domestic Space Organised Around a Courtyard
The house is located in the Cabo district of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, within a dense urban fabric of small terraced plots originally developed for single-family housing.
The north-facing façade is conceived as a perforated skin, establishing a filtered relationship with the street through a phenolic screen.
The programme is arranged over four levels organised around a courtyard positioned along the southern boundary, dissolving the limits between interior spaces and the open void.
Glazed over two levels on its southern side, the courtyard establishes visual continuity across all interior spaces and brings natural light deep into the house.
The upper level occupies only part of the footprint, allowing for a roof garden that extends the domestic programme outdoors.
The project is defined by light, spatial permeability and the courtyard as the central element of domestic life.
