Recovering the Spatial Clearness of a Modern Dwelling
The intervention transforms a house located within the residential ensemble designed in the 1960s by Luis Cabrera Sánchez-Real in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, overlooking the port and the urban centre.
The renovation takes advantage of the structural clarity of the original building to open the interior spaces and reinforce their relationship with light and views.
The new interior organisation preserves the modern logic of the dwelling, strengthening continuity between rooms and openness towards the exterior.
Original finishes are retained and reinterpreted through materials and furniture of related character, extending the initial architectural language.
The intervention updates domestic use without altering the modern identity of the ensemble.
The project restores the calm and precision of a house conceived through the relationship between structure, light and the urban landscape.
